Title: Port Alberni/Tofino Area

Anyone ever do any freshwater fishing out that way?  Heading up next weekend for a few days and thought I should bring the rod and reel.  Anything in the Somass now?  Cutthroat in the estuaries?  Sproat lake?  Any info about fresh water would be appreciated.  Thanks.

try calling the river sportsman on the island, i know theres one in cambell river, great shop. anytime i've tripped over there they have had good advice even for fisheries not close to them. they may have a website, not sure, but they may have a contact in alberni for you. there's gotta be some kinda freshwater fishing to do there.
