I took the wife and kid for a quick run down to the mouth of the Sumas and up the Fraser a ways. Just above the mouth there is a lot of native netting activity going on. At 3:30pm there were only three boats pulling Tee spoon spinners and I didn't see any big fish on the finder at the mouth so back up the river we go and I figure we go up the canal a ways to see if we could locate any big fish on the finder. Between the No.1 bridge and the mouth of the Vedder into the Sumas there were at least 6 rods actively fishing in this CLOSED river. There was a decent number of big fish sounding off on the finder so the first week of July should be pretty good.
