Title: Mr. Seal in the cap
Post by: HereFishyFishy on May 20, 2005, 08:33:00 PM
Has anyone else ever seen seals in the capilano past the suspension bridge? I was there today and I saw one feeding on some fish, just floating around with one in his mouth. I watched it for about 20 minutes and it seemed to be pretty comfortable. Is this a normal occurance?

Maybe it's part of the suspension bridge's new feature attractions? ;)

Ya I cant imagine a seal up the cap...the otter I have seen numerous times though.  In fact, Bug Pumper saw the otter in the cable pool this morning.  Things that make you go HMMMMMMMM!

I know what an otter looks like and I know what a seal looks like. I definitely saw a seal.

I know the fisheries staff has put traps in the fishway to catch otters - not always successful though.  A seal up top would have to be fairly strong in places to swim against that current, unless he's crawling over the rocks around the faster sections  ;D ;D ;D

Have a good weekend everyone.

HereFishyFishy, you realize once you change your avatar again, especially to a pic of yourself, someone would bring this thread back up from the archive right? ;)
