Title: Fish Wizard
Post by: IamCanadian on April 14, 2005, 09:13:37 PM
I was wondering how the Fish Wizard works. I can't seem to see the stocking dates. Aren't I suppose to type in the lake, then press fish stocking? HELP is needed. Thanks.

Sometimes it just says in the Lake report window which opens up when you check the lake report box and click on the selected lake or stream. Alot of them arn't updated though.

The information on Fish Wizard tends to be delayed. I talked to a staff at the Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery this morning and he said starting next week someone will be posting stocking updates on the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC (http://www.gofishbc.com/fishstocking.htm) website once every two weeks. The latest stocking information until April 13th can now be found on this page (http://www.gofishbc.com/SiteCM/U/D/050854074848EC85.pdf) (pdf file). If you are looking for the absolute latest stocking information of a specific Lower Mainland lake, you can phone the Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery at 604-504-4709 and someone will be happy to help you out. Hope that is helpful.
