Title: Wood Ticks
Post by: Pappy on March 15, 2005, 08:30:46 PM
I was just up in the Kamloops area (Paul Lake) this past weekend and a friend picked up 5 wood ticks on a short hike.   The temp is getting below zero each nite but these little monsters were active.
Just a heads up guys....I don't usually even think about them until late April, early May but I guess they're starting early like everything else. :(

Thanks for the reminder, Pappy. I have a dog and will check her regularly. I also have a wife...should I check her?  ???

There are some ticks around this area but not the major concern that there is in the Interior. I don't check my dog after walking around this part of the world but should. Can't be too careful.
