Title: March/April fishin'
Post by: Neat Freak on March 01, 2005, 08:55:48 AM
Hi. Can anyone tell me if there's any good fishing at the end of March - early April? My father-in-law will be visiting and is interested in going. Almost any type of angling will do, but it has to be from the bank, as I don't have a boat. Thanks for any suggestions.  :)

Cutties should be good that time of year.  Most low level lakes.  Deer/Hicks.

I have not been to deer or hicks in years, are they fishable from the banks,or are there other worthwhile bank fishable lakes in l/mainland?,asking because I have a family member who is petrified of going in a small boat.

Hicks Lake has several points where people fish from shore. One is near the pier. Its either Hicks or Deer. The memory is the second thing to go. I can't remember what the first is.

There is also the frog pond before you get there.  The east (left) side has a small creek entering the pond where the fish like to hang out.  You can also try Buntzen Lake.
