I saw that a while ago...makes ya think eh ?
It does make you think, 80 tons of metal, and flammable fuel flying at 530 mph at an elevation of 2 ft...would have left a mark on the surroundings and a much bigger hole. My logic is that a plane would have made contact and blown up shortly after impact, leaving a much bigger hole.
If it was indeed a jet, and not something else (ie military plane, missle, etc), why would there be such a cover-up ? as in, why were ALL films confiscated. The only one surviving was the one that belonged to the pentagon, they thought it was safe because they own it and the films would never get out ? Fat chance, this is the internet.
An armed missle would leave a bigger hole too, but that's saying it's armed. An unarmed missle could probably make a pretty clean hole with the force it had behind it, this could explain the neat hole,a nd the reason for a lack of explosion...
hmmm...something's not rght ether way... ???

Popular Mechanics' March Issue has some good "debunking" of this, and other myths.

That is very, very interesting Terry. I never knew that but what I did know is how the spin-doctor's of the ole US of A's think that
time and time again they can make up any story and the people will just have to believe it. Funny thing is they elected Bush again and he's the worst of them all for shovelling the, ahem. That is quite an amazing story tho Terry, thank's.

I'll give them credit, they did a good job covering this one up... ;)
I should really look into things more deeply before commenting... :P
