18 people answered it correctly!
I just did the draw, and the winner is Senpai! Congratulations Mike! :)
-
Second question is now posted on the MAIN PAGE (http://www.fishingwithrod.com)! Deadline is February 20th! :)
-
By the way, while the Tradex website says over 250, we are looking for an exact number here, which I got written down in front of me.... ;) Keep them coming! :D
-
:o gee hope i win i never been and really want to go now that my backs better and i can fish this year. ;D ;D ;D
-
Closest answer was 314 and the actual number of exhibitors that will be at this year's show is 304.
Next question is posted on the main site (http://www.fishingwithrod.com/) now and a draw will be made this Friday!
-
Keep them entries coming, we still have two days left until next draw. 50% of the entries are correct, while the other 50% are a bit off. Look for clues on the official show website (http://www.reel-shows.com) and some simple math skills will get you the correct answer.
A list of show exhibitors will be released later on tonight!
-
List of Fraser Valley Boat & Sportsmen's Show exhibitors is now available at:
http://www.reel-shows.com/links.html
Country living and Hunting exhibitors lists will be available tonight!
-
I'll be doing the draw tonight at 9pm so get those entries in now! :D
If you find the questions too challenging, STS Guiding Service is giving away some free tickets and all you have to do is send an email to them! First six emails they get will get them. ;D Info:

One hour and fifteen minutes left! :o

The correct answer is 1992! Most people were one year off (1991) and some were very creative (1980, 1998...). This year will be the 14th show.
AND... <plays drums...>
<clears throat>
Today it's Christmas at FWR!
Only six people out of about 50 answered the questions correctly, so I am sending a pair of tickets to each winner. ;)
Four of the six winners are forum members, they are Harps, Eskimo, Leadbelly, Wooly.
^ Make friends with them, FAST! ;)

Thanks ;D Ray the contest and raffle junkie

Thanks Rod,
Not just for the tickets, but for all the work you put in to fisheries in this lower mainland, (vedder cleanups, kid's camps, etc.) You are an inspiration for many of us, (I always pick up the "crap" I come across while I fish the Vedder). Most importantly, I was able to bring my daughter to a clean up two years ago - she always talks about it, and now picks up garbage where ever she sees it. Unfortunatly, I have not been available for a cleanup since then, yet she has recieved two "environmental awards" from her school for her work cleaning up drifting garbage around her school.
I'm not sure how you find the time, but be assured, it is appreciated.
Ron Francis, (Eskimo). :)

thanks rodney! i will be going saturday.
-
D'oh! Here I thought I had till Sunday to get my answer in. Guess I deserve to pay the regular price...
-
Thanks Eskimo, that's too nice. :) Good to hear your daughter was inspired at the first cleanup and has received two environmental awards. :D I still remember that cleanup. It was small, but who knew it would grow to something this grand today. ;D
Reach, you'll be happy to know that 1 dollar of every paid adult admission will be donated to the Freshwater Fisheries Society to promote angler education/awareness at the Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery. :)
-
I was not aware of the fund-raising at the door, because I'm not paying at the door, I'll make a donation to the Freshwater Fisheries Society on behalf of the great folks here at FWR. Thanks again for the tickets.
-
That sounds good! :D

No, it's my Toyota 'Pickup'

OK...you lost me.
Not a Tundra? Not a Taco?

Good to hear you all have your tickets. I am looking forward to see members who are coming out. I will be at the fly tying workshop most of the time (Fri noon to 9pm, Sat noon to 8pm, Sun 9am to 5pm).
Our 20 feet display is directly in front of the pro fishing seminar stage. Make sure you be there for tomorrow's seminars, a good line-up.
Kicking off the weekend at 1pm, Vic Carrao will talk about sturgeon and salmon fishing. If you can't make the 1pm seminar, he'll give it again at 4pm. At 2, 5 and 7pm, Marilyn Murphy will be discussing DFO policy issues for saltwater anglers.
If you are an avid tyer, feel free to take a seat at our fly tying bench to tie up a few patterns. The seats are reserved for kids most of the time but something different once awhile can be very entertaining.
I believe we'll also be giving away a few Stryker Rods hats and possibly a rod as well. This is last minute decision, just receiving a call from Russ this afternoon.
See ya all!

Not a Tundra? Not a Taco?
Nope it's a 'Pickup' they were the predecessor to the Tacoma available from the time Toyota made trucks until 1995. In 95 they also came out with the Tacoma 95.5 The avatar you see to your left is the 3rd generation pickup (89-95 model)
