Post by: Will_CARP on November 28, 2004, 09:48:13 PM
Can trout still be caught in lakes and steams, even in the middle of winter?  Where can i find more infomation on local trout fishing?  Is there anything i can fish for?

Yes; any of our low elevation lower mainland lakes can be productive right through winter. Concentrate on winter food sources, Leaches, Scuds, Dragon Nymphs. Things to remember fish are slow in cold water, so make your presentation slow. Also slow fish make for slow takes, so alow the fish to start swimming away with the hook before you set the hook. Most people who miss fish during this winter trout fishery don't alow enough time on the take.
