Need help with some ideas for christmas presents for my 10 year old son...something fishy (I think he has more fishing gear now than I do!)
Thanks
Mike

Has he already started fly fishing?
-
No he hasn't...neither have I...not sure if either of us is ready yet ;D
-
Is there such a thing as 'kid sized' multi tool?
It can be used fishing and for lots of other things.

I think you and your son should both get a fly setup for xmas. You would be amazed at the differance and the new challenges that await you.

Your son is about 10 if I remember correctly. Get him a 5/6wt fly rod. Pinks are in next year and he'll have a hoot. Start with a medium action rod it will be more forgiving to the begining fly chucker. You should be able to get a deal from your freind ;) He should be convinced to provide lessons too 8) I've got my wife convinced to buy me two bar fishing rods for my B'day or Christmas (close together).

Happy Birthday! I'll hoist one for ya!

Get him a nice pellet gun is he doesn't have one already.
-
Take him up to fulcrum country and let him target shoot up there!!!!!
-
He already has a pellet gun, .22, .410 and my old 30-30 ( not shooting it yet!) and loves going grouse hunting with me....

I might just have to look into the fly fishing thingy...I dont know if I'm ready ;D

I am sure there is such thing as a kids multitool, but I have not seen one. The [url]Leatherman Juice would probably be a good choice as it is compact and retails for under $100.
Heres the site:
