I've got a friend in town with a small son. Where would they be able to go (near Vancouver area), and have a VERY HIGH probability of catching fish? (Small Trout?)

You could try Gold creek at Alouette lake,I always have luck there. There small but plentiful, Just use a Bluefox spinner (blue) ;)

maybe try whonnock lake
if youve got access to a small boat ;)

Sun Valley Trout Park (http://www.camping-fishing-bc.com/) :)

Here's a few suggestions: Trout Lake, Deer Lake, Burnaby Lake, Como Lake, Laforge Lake

those are ok places for a week or 2 AFTER they have been stalked. immediately they are fished out so it would be slow right now.
