Title: mouth of sumas(railway bridge )
Post by: oddjob on October 12, 2004, 02:30:53 PM
Has anybody been to the deep section just before the railway bridge near the mouth of the sumas river lately/ ??? ??? ??? That area is deep and tossing spinners used to be good. Quite often boats troll along that part of the river.

Was there on Friday morning fishing from shore. Nada. 3 boats nearby with a total of 5 anglers had 4 fish.  As with other parts of the river, very slow.  I think we saw one or two fish roll the entire morning.

3 years ago (coho are 3 year fish) we just hammered them in the canal in the first week of October.

3-years ago we pounded Coho all of October with Crocodiles below KW bridge. Three years ago the canal had a lot of structure and pools in it.
