Title: Silver Skagit Road to Ross Lake washed out again?
Post by: RalphH on January 03, 2026, 10:44:24 AM
I have seen a report that the road from Silver Lake to Ross Lake was again washed out during the atmospheric river events last month. Does anyone have any information?

According to Drive BC, yes. Road closed due to washout.

Edit: although according to this https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/transportation-projects/bc-highway-flood-recovery/2021-flood-road-recovery-projects-silver-skagit-road a closure was pre-planned and the washout that Drive BC refers to could be the 2021 washout. So  :-X

there was a small washout last spring that was repaired prior to the July 1st opening. I also found the announced closure through to April 26th other than that nothing else.

Looks like is washed out at about the 2km marker. If you have Facebook:
