So...how does it feel to catch you first salmon? Tell the whole story. Enquiring minds want to know?

Were these "charity" fish from a friend of yours ;D?

Well I have to go to bed, as I am on 20 hours sleep for the week. I sleep 4 hours, I work 8 hours, throw in some fishing and driving.... Then I do it all over again. I'll tell one story before I go to bed.
I have this Sock on, I walk it to calm water behind this bar. CasinoJim, instead of bonking it, jumps on it. A 200 something lb guy has this fish pinned, so I give some slack, the hook pops out, no problem though, tubbies sitting on it, shouldnt be a problem. Zip!! There goes my second Sock! Everyone gets a good laugh, oh well, no big deal. 2 minutes later a guy comes walking up with a fish in hand, "Is this yours?" he says. I was like what? He saw the whole fiasco of Jim letting my fish go, saw it come towards him, it went under his feet, he grabbed it and brought it to me. Was pretty funny as I thought it was long gone. I owe that guy a handoff of the rod one day. Alright, gotta sleep so I can fish then work again.
Not caught up on here at all, have about 50 threads to read when I get some time.
Ok, better stories to come. Don't forget to bug CasinoJim for letting my fish go. And someone teach him how to bonk.

So what does the regulation say about catching sockeyes by hand ? ;)
-
I saw this today. What do the regulations say about trying to catch a sock that you partially landed but took off back into the water, with a landing net?
Of course the fish won in the end...

Looks like Casino Jim's live buttocks release works again. I can't wait to see that on Sport Fishing BC ;D

I've tried to handle them that way before, but I can't seem to get a good grip. They're so slippery ;D
