Thanks to the 5 anglers from this forum that have answered the call and have taken the time to write such well thought out letters. ;D ;D
Very well done. ;D ;D
When we win this battle to preserve our fishing opportunities and our precious fish stocks part of the victory will be yours.
I am hoping more of the 736 members will also take the time, we should be able to gather at least 50. Take up the challenge please.
Lots of us get so much enjoyment out of fishing and corresponding on this wonderful forum, what we we do with our spare time if we could not go fishing and our fish stocks ar depleted like in so many other countries. Golf and golf talk. Sorry Terry. ;D
Take the time now and write one even if it is only a few lines, the choice is yours of course and sorry to keep harping but I know it is very very important to fight back and a letter is one of the easiest ways to do it, please take the time.

Talking about golf going for a golf ball hunt and think more about "Operation Barbeque" and the meeting with the RCMP, FOC, First Nations, SDA and FVSS I go to this afternoon.

Just wrote mine. I am not sure whose name should be addressed. Please touch up the name part for me. Thanks, or send me a message on the correct format of the letter.
I agree that this is a serious matter for the Fraser stocks and subsequently, we sport fishers. Remember the year when the NDP government under Harcourt & Shiota was trying to cut funding to the steelhead and trout stocking program, and created quite a stir to the steelheading community. Well, after a strong response reflected by tremendous number of letters to his office, Moe Shiota announced that the stocking programs would continue due to overwhelming response from concerned citizens and the fishing communites. Fellow fishers, let's do our fair share to back up good guys like Chris and Rod in their efforts by writing your few lines.

Eight letters received not including Nina and Mine. Thank you and keep them coming. With 700+ members and hundreds of guests on this forum, we SHOULD be able to come up with at least 50 letters easily.

I will have mine done for tomorrow.

Done...feel much better now. ;D
Excellent excellent letter and thank you so much. Forwarded off to Bill.
Am a little disappoined at this time as only at a dozen letters, I thought we would be able to get more.
Sometime I thing maybe all the work we try to do to keep fishing opportunities for the sports angler is not as important to them as we think as a lot of people seem not that interested in taking the time to put a letter together and send it to their politicans.
As going to be off the board for a few days one final plea , letters to the people on the list provided and to letter@fishingwithrod.com
Thanks.

Yes it can be frustrating Chris.... but my I say, tongue in cheek, that this is where the real towing the line comes into play.
I've been there many times before and you just have to do what you can and be positive. Remember everyone, it's like voting, if you failed to do so, then you don't have any reason to _ _ _ _ _! In one day I'm sure that you could count over 500 anglers on the Fraser harvesting sock's. How many are willing to put their pen on paper or pick up the phone to ensure that future?

Trip got delayed so back on line, letter total is now at 14 and thanks to all who have written.
I would like to post their names but you know who you are and have done your part so that is the important part.
I am still holding out hope for more especially from the regular top posters who are experienced anglers and I am sure know the problems, where some of the new people to the forum are just getting their feet wet so to speak.

Alex you don't need to sit and write some 4 page document....just a simple letter stating you don't approve of what DFO is doing in the Fraser.

As I mentioned on another post thanks very much for the excellent and the well thought out letter you wrote. It was much appreciated by me and the SDA as in the long run we are working at protecting the fish and fishing opportunities for young anglers like you.
I hope more fishers of your age will also be concerned enough to write a letter as well.
Thanks again.

Chris, I just composed a letter which I copied to Rod. I will send it from home tonight as I don't wish to have my work e-mail attached to the letter. CHeers

Every letter we get is appreciated so much.
