There's always a far end of a lake  ;)

And it's always where the fish are.

Gets pretty busy at the far end of the lake.

Fished there many years ago but I always fished near the north end of the lake.
There are a couple of picnic tables there beside the path.

Use a sliding bottom weight and green powerbait squished into a grub shape over the middle of the hook.

Chronies work too.

You can also try casting spinners, spoons, etc. People also have much success with scented plastic power worm particularly the chartreuse colour. You can fish the power worm under a float or spin it like a spinner.
