Has anyone ever caught salmon shore fishing from Barnet Marine Park?
-
Never heard of salmon being caught there though during a pink year, maybe a possibility.
I've caught mainly bottomfish there such as flounder, greenling, sea perch, and sculpins. There's also the occasional sea run cuttie roaming around. ;)

With the amount of crab traps one would think it would draw a few in to investigate...

In past years, forum members have reported catching, or seeing caught, salmon at the Rocky Point area in the fall months.
If that's the case, then catching salmon at the marine park would not be unexpected.

The Port Moody Ecological Society operates a community hatchery on Noons Creek that runs into the east end of Burrard Inlet and release coho and chum; http://noonscreek.org/about-us/
There are a number of small to tiny streams that run from the slopes around the Port Moody Arm to Burrard Inlet and most will have very small #s of wild chum, coho and cutthroat - this includes one or 2 tiny streams that enter the inlet at Barnet Marine Park.
