Title: Foul weather gear
Post by: obie1fish on June 12, 2016, 05:20:54 PM
I am looking into my next pair of ocean foul weather bib pants. PVC or rubber coating is very waterproof, but become very sweaty. I'm looking for some other pairs that work well. I know that some aren't as waterproof as advertised. I have used several brands, such as Helly Hansen, Mustang, etc, but I'm looking for alternatives. Any recommendations?

The Simms Pro Dry gear is pretty good stuff.  I've got lots of hours in these.  Never ended up sweaty from this gear.

If you're going to live in your foul weather gear for a large portion of the year, I would say it's worth it.  If its part time, then the price tag becomes hard to justify.
