Title: What's running now?
Post by: fishfulangler on September 27, 2015, 09:24:21 PM
I was just wondering what would be running now until December. Also if you could tell me which rivers (Farthest I would go would be the Vedder) they are running in and what I should be using would be great.

Thanks everyone, FishfulAngler  :)

The Vedder is in fall salmon season now and you will currently be able to catch some springs, coho and possibly a chum (I've seen a few rising the past couple days). Roe is always a producer for me as fish absolutely love a piece of good bait short floated. You can also try Colorado blades, jigs, spoons, or small wool ties. For wool, peach, orange and red colours work alright if presented properly but again, nothing beats good roe. Good luck!

Best time of the year to be fishing IMO. All rivers should have salmon in them.

River season is just starting to ramp up, will be in full swing by oct. 15th.
First light coho, mid morning chums till your arms ache, and afternoon sturgeon till your exhausted.
