Tried to thaw some Coho skeins in hot water tonight , not one of my better ideas About half of them fell apart when I dumped them out of the bag. Just a warning in case anyone out there is as dumb as me.

What were you thinking ? ;D

Boil them for 45 seconds.
Then dye them with your favorite color of procure.
The best trout bait around ;D ;D ;D

Common, why would you do any of those things to defrost your roe ??? ??? ??? ???
-
Who hasn't done that before, wake up in the morning and realized that you forgot to take some roe out of the freezer :o The quickest way to defrost procured roe in an emergency is to place the frozen roe in a ziplock bag or other sealed bag and place it in some warm water :P I do this with roe that has been stored in borax, however i try to remove most of the borax from the frozen skein before the defrosting process.

Hey Normfish I thought I was the only one daft enough to try that one ( the wife didn't have a positive view either) :o
