Anyone ever fish Silver Lake up Skagit road there ? tried yesterday and had no luck, seen a few jumping at the far end near the creek inlet but couldn't get anything to bite.
Fly fishing - trolled full sink with leeches, doc sprats, wolly buggers, muddler minnows
Casted/stripped - full sink, all the above, tried some stones too, and a handful other flies.
Not even a sniff... was headed to Jones as we had a great time on Saturday but weren't feeling the long/slow drive up with a trailer again so hit Silver.

out of 127 views not one has fished this lake...?

Probably not. Relax.

It's too easy to access, so I don't fish it, nor try.
Need 122 more people to chime in on why they haven't said anything.

How was Jones?

Lake was probably closed to fishing until 01 June, might be why nobody fished it.

I haven't in years my info would be useless.
Title mentioned a lake I might approach at some point.
Didn't know you wanted info only people to view.
Sorry.

Reading regs is a good idea too :-\
What was the date yesterday?

Silver Lake is closed from December 1st to April 30th.

guess i forgot to add "LOL" to the end of that last one about my minimal posts... was meant a joke as most get attacked when asking questions if they dont have 1000+ posts. keep forgetting about these internet forums where your message can be taken way out of context without further details, "lol" or smile face.
As for regs might want to check those out yourself as well... its also single barbless and bait ban, plus catch and release all.
Big Fish:Jones: was decent, caught a dozen+ bows and a couple cutties that were pushing 17". Road was rough heading in with a trailer, slow and steep in the first few corners. Lake is super low right now, the bay to the back right of the boat lanuch is completely dry, water is 100 feet from the launch right now. Made locating the fish a littler easier, started with leeches and after a few decent sized ones to get a pump down we dialed in on chronomids and had some fun fishing drop offs with indicators.

Summer steelhead run up Silver hope creek and spawn in the creek above the lake. Often they hold in the lake near the inlet - this happens mostly in the fall and some folks fish for them then - it used to be quite well known for it. There used to be some cutty fishing at the north end and supposedly there are some bulls in there. Generally it's a slow fishing lake.
