Title: Glen Valley Flames
Post by: Shmoke Shaman on October 16, 2014, 08:24:15 PM
Noticed burnt out campfires on the bars at Glen Valley. Anyone know if little campfires are allowed on the shore? Would be cool to have a little one going to warm up hands while fishing.

You aren't suppose to it's a fire hazard. Embers can still carry in wind and most people are generally irresponsible about fires.

What we used to do was grab old metal cans from fabrication shops, and make small "trash can" fires so it was a little better controlled (flames would never lick past the top of the can) and a lid can smother the fire, plus the added bonus of carrying your ash/left over burned garbage with you so would not further pollute the area/environment and they fit nicely in a trunk.
