Title: Dollies
Post by: Last Cast on June 22, 2004, 09:20:45 PM
My son and I fished the Upper Fraser on the weekend for Springs.  Saw 4 caught on Sat. and 3 caught on Sun.  We weren't lucky, though :-[.  I'm finding, the fish are out a ways from shore, preferring deeper/heavier water.  We just couldn't cast far enough :-[.  As we all know, when fishing for Springs its usually hours between hits, so looking for an alternative to keep my son's attention (maybe mine??).  Not really after size, but rather a few more fish and solitude.  Is the Squamish and/or Cheakumus a better bet for numbers at this time of year?  If so, would appreciate someone giving me a lead or two on Dollie fishing up that way.  Where on the Squamish or Cheakumus exactly (easy access preferred) ???.  Spoons?  Spinners?  Figure on using very light gear/line.

Yes.  Now my turn.  Have any experience fishing for Dollies at this time of year in the Squamish/Checkamus you can share with me?
