Mike was a dear friend of mine and the one who taught me to fish. He spent many years guiding up at Langara, West Coast Fishing Club, Hippa Island, Milbanke Sound, Englefield Bay, Whale Channel, and Sportsman's Club where he made many good friends doing what he loved best.
The Radvak family is asking all those who knew Mike and wish to share stories, memories, and photos of him to send them to an email account they have set up for the family: mike@radvak.com. Especially fishing-related memories, stories, and photos.
He wasn't a member of FWR, but I'm sure some of the guys on here knew him. The family appreciates the support. A celebration of life is being held Saturday, February 8th at Capilano Golf and country club from 1-4 for those who wish to pay their respects.

I am very sorry for the loss of your friend. Sincerest condolences.

My condolences as well. I felt sadness as I read the obituary and discovered that a man with such a rich and successful life also suffered from chronic depression. Depression strikes so many yet is so misunderstood both socially and medically.
