Title: Qualicum
Post by: bcguy on October 12, 2013, 10:14:49 AM
Heading to Qualicum today to visit family, but am hoping to slip away for a little fishing.
Will do some exploring, but am hoping someone can help out with a starting point. The Qualicum rivers seem to be contentious as far as politics and fishing areas, little help here? Maybe Nile?

Check out Nile Creek fly shops website, they give reports on that area. If you have a fly rod then fish some cutthroat, cutty fishing can be really good in both qualicum rivers. Look at the regs and see what sections are open and from there pretty much just explore and you will find fish! I've only ever fly fished over there so if you have gear I haven't really ever fished gear and am not sure if it's even open to gear yet but good luck!

Thanks, bringing the feathers and gear...always be prepared LOL
Was hoping to get into some Coho off a beach somewhere.
A day of exploring is never enough time  8)
