So I went to the vedder yesterday and about 3 weeks ago I bought a new back up rod. A shimano convergence which I paired with my diawa low profile which I bought a couple months ago. It's the new reel diawa just started putting out. Decided to try it as oppose to the center pin and what a sweet little set up, was great fun with coho and a couple chum. So now that my review is done, here is the problem. I hooked into a nice coho and the rod snapped in two places for no real reason that I could see. I landed the coho by lining it in but now my question is, what's the warranty like? Do any of you have experience dealing with their warranty? I mean the rod is fairly cheap so is it worth it to deal with the warranty or just buy a new one? It's a 10' medium light rod and that's why I liked it so much.

Ask the store you bought it from, they'll know. They should replace it if you broke it like that.

i just got my clarus pin back from them, awesome customer service, send them an email, or as stated go to the dealer you got it from they should help you out.

Definitely take it to the store that you bought it from as some shops have new top sections or they can replace the entire rod and they deal with the warranty with the rep.

Yup, that's what I was told when I bought my Shimano.
The store will deal with the warranty with the rep for me.

same prob, same rod a couple years ago - bought at A&N. They kept it for about 3 days, then called me with a new rod to pick up.
