Since there a lot of fans of wild steelhead and wild rivers on here, I thought you all would appreciate an amazing project like this. Definitely a worthwhile cause to support!

Why should we as Canadians send our money to support an American fishery? We already have enough problems with our own fisheries and they keep getting budget cutbacks.

All the more reason to support something local.

Although I can't think of anything that is specifically helping steelhead, but then again Im a newbie to fishing. Can anyone here suggest a local alternative to support steelhead?

whatever causes are brought up for the case of preservation and conversation we should support, these are examples of people doing something concrete to effect change.
If you can find the whole documentary on Pbs on restoration of the Elwha river in Washington State watch it,one of the great success stories on river reclamation .

Similar landscapes, similar people raising awareness ,we can look to them for leadership in conservation.
