Anyone have any decent places to shore fish for sturgeon in the surrey Langley area. I know the surrey dock is a decent place but can be really busy. Any info would be much appreciated
Thanks Dave

Yar. My dad saw three guys haul in a pair of sturgeon in a little over two hours from Derby a few weeks ago when he was fishing from his boat for salmon.
Although I hear its a snag-fest because there is a million yards of mono in the water there from people breaking lines... At least thats what someone said when Derby Reach was mentioned for a location to salmon fish.

You can fish for sturgeon just about anywhere. Just find a good spot with good depth and throw out something stinky! There are lots of spots on the south side of the fraser just take a look at a map. Good luck; and just make sure you have a decent rod and reel set up for this as you could hook into a monster.
I've successfully landed Sturgeon to about 5' from shore; haven't hooked into anything bigger. Anyways, I haven't fished for sturgeon in a while let us know how you do!
