Any run on the Vedder is accessible by foot if you are willing to do the legwork.

Ya but U must of fished a popular run and noticed a an unaccessible spot just outside of your drift
Then to see a jet boat in that spot slaying
Is it alloyed...................my OG ??????

There is absolutely no need to be in a jet boat above the highway bridge, none what so ever. Those that do IMO have zero respect for the river, the fish as well as the shore fishermen. What is the point of going up there ?? are they that lazy that they need to use their boat ??
One could say they want to fish up river as well as going out into the Fraser but I think they should just choose one or the other if they go, and that means hoofing it if they choose upstream of the highway bridge.
Some places should just be out of bounds for boats, this IMO is one of them. >:(

There should be speed restrictions in the canal.
-
Yes there should be speed restrictions in the canal. They have them in Nicomen Slough and even parts of the Harrison so I don't see why we can't have speed restrictions on the vedder.
-
Judging by water level in the canal a JB needs to be up on plane. I would keep it pinned from one end right to the other.

Maybe people with JB should launch at other sites to get to the mouth of the vedder, and stop ripping through the canal destroying the bottom of the river and washing away the river banks.

Do a search. This topic comes up every year. If its legal why complain. For the amount of times I have actually seen a jet boat in the river I could care less.....

Mother nature does more than boats I guess

There are enough deadheads that aren't visible at low tide, and lots that aren't at high tide to keep people off the throttle on the canal. I slow down around other fishermen and boats, and there are only a few spots where I open it up. I have seen guys going full throttle through areas full of underwater prop busters and often through 2' of water. I am surprised I don't see more boats getting towed out of there more often.

Sounds like everyone on here just envy's the guys with jetboats ;)
