Rented a cabin on a lake north of Kamloops this weekend. Based on some research looks like I need to bring chironomids, buggers, and leeches for the fly rod. What would you throw with a spinning rod and what about live bait? Any help would be appreciated!

In regards to spinning gear, i always seem to do well with small/medium Blue Fox spinners(the bullets work even better IMO) or my go to lure if I am spinning, which is a Gibbs hammered gold Croc with an orange stripe, size depending on your target.

panther martins work on everything.

Amen to that.
Works on EVERYTHING! Probably the single most deadly lure ever made from what I have found.
Taken steelhead, cutties, bows, coho, chinook, chum, pinks and even sockeye on it.
Panther martins are also deadly as said above.
Try a lucky bug maybe as well. They seem to do well on a troll!
If wanting to do bait, throw worms on a bottom up set-up. Apparently power bait works well too!
Don't forget to bring scuds up as well for the fly rod (for a fast troll in 5-14 feet of water).
Every fish we have seen cleaned (or cleaned/pumped) in the past 2 weeks has just been full of them in every lake I'v been to.
A light grey or beige colour in various sizes (big is good though) seems to be the best bet for most lakes.
Cheers!

Thanks a lot for the great advice! Bringing my tying gear with me so I will be able to improvise fly wise. I'll post a report after the weekend!

Well only managed a few on flies but the spinners worked very well! They were tasty. (http://i.imgur.com/Tjfchl7.jpg)
