Stick around Sooke for the Hali. The closest grounds from Pt Renfrew are a good 45 min run NW in good weather (at 20 knots). Sorry I cannot be any help for spots around Sooke (I am sure your guide knows though).

Hopefully hali is open by then.. There is salmon fishing 12 months of the year in Sooke.  The slot limit comes into affect i think Apr 1 so you are good to go. Your guide should be giving you some info on all of this.

You'll hit some fish for sure, don't worry about it. Post pics after and let us know how you did!

You'll either fish, Beechy Head, Otter Point, Secretary or somewhere in between.

x2 - lets just hope for a Hali opening sooner than later

Keep in mind the "biggun" is going to be in the 20 pound range as these winter fish tend to be smaller than the summers and average around 10-15.
