Post by: mr.steelheader on December 27, 2012, 08:14:18 PM
Hi evreyone! Does anybody know who has the best deel on a islander steelheader reel? I see them all at $370 is anyone else cheaper ? I would love a Milner but not in the area to be spending close to 600 this will be my 2nd center pin so I Just want the islander for the big rivers and keep the other one for the littler rivers :)

Out east you can get them for around 300-350 and they usually have the upgraded bearings in them. Milners are only 500 and if you buy one used you could get it for 400 if you look around enough.

I just got a milner for 437.00. Got it from Erie outfitters in the states. But I have a friend that has a mailbox in linden. Not sure what he would charge to ship to Canada but I'm sure it will be cheaper then anywhere around here.

Definitely check out the buy and sell.

Although its already past this year, another good option was the used tackle sale out in Chilliwack. I picked up a Silex Suerba for my girlfriend to use for $125  :o

Smokin deal on the superba. I walked right by that reel and didn't even think to look at the price.

Picked up a used silex today for back up and for different streams for a pretty good price I think.
