Title: Chilliwack River, September 7th 2012
Post by: CohoMan on September 07, 2012, 01:23:34 PM
Went out for the first time to scout the river. Did a bit of fishing but did not get anything.

I saw 3 fish hooked- Spring jacks but no cohos.

Water is really low.

No rain dance please as rain means high dirty water and fish just zoom by to the hatchery. Mud means that it is just good for Tow' ing. I cannot believe I brought that up again. :-[

I'm with Chris on this one.  Btw - Chris, sorry but what does TOW stand for?  I've seen you use this term a number of times and I'm assuming it's flossing???

TOW means "The Other Way"  basically to avoid using the F word.

I would like some rain for sure. Not a monsoon, but nice slow steady rainfall would do good for the river.

Thunderstorms in the forecast for Monday - a warm rain in the mountains would do us some good.  Any lower and the fish won't bite anything (especially coho).  And I don't know how the big springs will fit up the small trickle of a river as it is now!
