Title: Tunkwa & Logan Lake, August 20th - 23rd 2012
Post by: Rodney on August 28, 2012, 02:14:53 PM
A few of us spent last week at Tunkwa Lake Resort to fish both Tunkwa and Logan Lake. Tunkwa had quite a bit of algae in it and fishing was pretty challenging, on the fly anyway. Nina caught the only large fish on a Rooster Tail while we trolled around. The area was still worth visiting of course. I went outside late at night to see the clear starry sky with lightning shows on the horizon all around us. Fishing at Logan Lake was quite a bit better. We caught a mix of Fraser Valley and Blackwater rainbows, up to 3.5lb. Fish were mostly feeding on scuds. The best part was the absence of wind throughout most of our trip.

Here are some photographs.

Great place to fish, I go there every year. We were around the area a few weeks ago with all 3 generations of my family.  Still haven't found a way to make those fish palatable though. Did you try Leighton?
