Title: 2 Crab Traps + Rod and Reel?

I was looking on the DFO site and saw the regulations for 2 crab traps and rod and reel regulations.  If I toss in 2 traps, can I fish with a rod and reel at the same time while I am waiting?

Just be sure that you are not fishing in a Rockfish Conservation area.  Rod and reel fishing is forbidden.  There are several in the surrounding areas of the lower mainland.
