Title: Setup for Beach baitcaster
Post by: ALBA CHIEFISH on July 24, 2012, 09:20:51 AM
would like to know your ideas on the best setup for chucking blades and bombs off the beaches for Coho.

I mostly fish the beach at Ambleside and sometime fish the saltwater flats on the east coast of the island.

I think i want a Luna 253 loaded with braid, but im not sure about braid or wither i can get away with a low profile bait caster and save some money.

i am also considering an Abu Record 60.

your input is greatly appreciated

spoke with the guys at Berry's and they hooked my up with a LUNA 300 and 50lbs braid.

to her out the other morning hooked a 5lbs Coho and enjoyed the 300's smooth drag. i thought 5o lbs was over kill but i just got back from the fraser yesterday and the posh line was just awsome.
