Title: Shore fishing.
Post by: crazypop on July 23, 2012, 11:55:21 PM
Hi all,
I want to take my kid out fishing this week, where is a good place near the wack to keep him interested?
Hicks/deer lake in Sasquatch?

Thanks.

How old is he/she?

The Vedder has a pretty strong run of sockeye going on right now. Catch & release. Could make for a good afternoon.

Still a little young for the Vedder right now. Usually go with him when its lower but right now its not an option.
Thanks.

Going to try deer lake this week.

Rolley lake will be a bit of a further drive but there was a report a few weeks ago that it was producing. Now that it's warming up things may have died down.

The northern side of Jones -- near the rock slide -- with dewies off the bottom apparently fishes well, though access is rougher than Hicks or Rolley.

Good luck!
