I was going to try the Stave last Wednesday, when I was in the area.  But apparently the road was closed, as they're doing some dam construction?  no pun intended.   

What can you catch in the Stave around the toilet bowl at this time of the year?  Is the fishing decent?

I was in the lake above the dam. There's supposed to be some nice cuttys and dollys, but they weren't interested in what I was offering. I did see a bunch of tiny guys surface feeding where we puuled out for lunch.

sorry, and thanks.  I didn't realize your report was about the Lake, and not the River.  I'm just used to reading reports about the river, I guess. LOL

Love the shot of Aligator Point on the right in that 1st pic.
Shows it very well.
Did fairly well for cuts and dollies there this year.
But timing is everything and you have to know that lake.
