prawn, spinners, roe and wool(with out the 2-13 ft leader attached )
WAY too many people are bottom bounching the vedder with a massive leader. no less than 4 ft.
please respect the fish that are in there. and do not provide free dental work.

there is a difference between bottom bouncing and flossing.

if you do bottom bounce with a short leader. please be aware that others who are float fishing will tangle becuase there is no line marker.

Everyone just stay respectful both to fish and fisherpeople alike.

Tight lines to all

Beauty fish!  Heading back up fri. Any idea what the upper looked like? Have a spot up there I want to try but unless it's dropped wont bother. The fish seem to be easier to find and hook this year for some odd reason. I don't remember ever walking into my first spot and finding fish like this year. Usually takes a lot more time and effort to locate the fish.

well, i am damn beautiful.

As was the fish.

upper river is so so, if you can find a back eddie

middle and low are opening up daily more spots and more spots.

Do a little walkin from the parkin lots and you will get your self a beautiful spot thats private.

soc's are stuffed still in the system * NOT RETAINABLE * please respect fish you accidently hook into.

Springs are running but there isn't alot. not many anglers are getting them even though they all go to peach road ><

the usual 30% of fisherman are getting 90% of the fish again.

Guess I'm part of the 30% as I have 4 in the freezer so far ;D Thanks for the update on the Upper, think I'll stick to below Tamahi bridge. Might bring the fly rod and try for some socks on the fly :)

Well I was going to stay home and watch the rough riders but instead I decided to head out with the Spey rod and found a spot all to myself where I hooked 3 springs and a couple sockeye.

Good decision as the Riders blew a 17 pt lead to lose in overtime ;D
