We gave it a go yesterday, a lot later in the season than when we usually visit this lake. It was pretty productive, with rainbows up to 14" hitting our Rooster Tail spinners and flies on and off throughout the afternoon. An hour before dark I managed to connect with a large cutthroat trout, but it freed itself while we were trying to net it. Pretty warm day, the wind was actually welcoming for once.

Nice stuff Rodney, I've been spending every weekend at my parents place on alta lake since i ride at the pemberton dirt bike track, and fish there every evening of our dock by the tracks, talking to the locals the rainbows have been slowly making a comeback! lots of juveniles around, been going dry fly last few days, and hooked a couple of baby cutthroats.. which is strange...
