Post by: rhino on May 11, 2012, 12:42:34 PM
hello!

im taking a week long trip first week of june house boating on the shushwap lake and I typically just troll around and find a few fish using gear. I was hoping someone can provide some tips on how to fly fish this lake and what type of flies to use? i will bring my 5wt and 8wt mainly for trolling a bucktail. i know there are some small creek that flow into the lake and from what i have been reading these areas can be good for fly fishing but couldn't find much info on technique or flies.
any info is appreciated
thanks in advance!

Alot of course fish in that lake, Squawfish and pike minnow.  Try trolling a big minnow pattern way out there in mid water.  I hear thats where the few lakers that are left like to chillax ;D
