On the net there are articles & stories about using pedal boats for fishing !!!
Very cheap to buy & surely they would work ok on small lakes ; even LaFarge & Como LKs.
Lots of models out there.
No motor to buy or maintain YOUR THE MOTOR. ;D
itbikes.com looks like ya can fish but also get a very good workout.
Check out "pedal boats" on YOU TUBE.
Sure would not use them on a river large lake or salt. " only small lake with no other motor boats :D

Pedal powered boats: UP DATE ;D. Caution read at your own risk "may contain a few spelling or grammar errors" :D
These itbikes just may be able to be used to fish bigger water as the product has a keel.
a) On You Tube check out : water bike video - on rough ocean water.
b) You Tube vid : wow human powered boat blasts across a mountain lake
c) there is a pedal powered boat that costs a mere $122,000.00 & is on sale for "get this" $84,000 or trade considered & OBO !!!!!!!
On You Tube : Inside Passage Expedition
: offshore sea trials
This guy has a website www.pedaltheocean.com
He wanted to go from Victoria to Hawaii in a pedal boat :o
After a sea trial in some wind & waves he decided not to attempt it. ( smart man )
The guy definately would of hit into some Pacific storms & with that piss- ant of a pedal boat would of been like being inside a side load spin cloths dryer.
d) But if ya think a pedal boat will not catch fish check out this You Tube vid : pedal boat fishes.
The $122,000 pedal boat even got the Canadian Navy to radio the guy with the words " What are YOUR attentions?????"
Guess it looked too much like a mini sub.
OOPS I better correct the word "attentions to intentions" " What are your intentions?"
Maybe for a joke he could of radioed back in " Arabic " with words " Iran ...me make right turn when should of made a left."

Very nice ! Fillibert
Wonder how stable it is as it looks very short & not very wide.
If it tipped over to the side & one's loose gear went to the bottom of the lake. Boo.
Like the flippers idea. Rather unique.
On You Tube seen a paddle or pedal pontoon with 50 sq ft thus ya can fish suntan scuba dive on & on ...
Looks very well made. Nice comfortable seats.
One model is a pedal , another electric & still one that takes a small outboard. Very compact but well made.
The site is www.kennedypontoons.com
Also another what looks like a quality blow up is the (You Tube ) Sea Eagle Frameless Pontoon Boat
They claim to be the world's best one man fishing boat :o
Also on You Tube check out this happy camper : Mitch Moline talks about his Sea Eagle 285 Frameless Pontoon Boat.

Very nice again Fillibert !
1st pic model looks like it addresses the stable issue.
Came across one very interesting product.
Comes in about 4-5 dif models.
One for fishing.
Another for fishing hunting etc..
One for having "fun" music / coolers/ cup holders...
Even a model for police forces.
This is a very unique product for sure ( as was your example ) CraigCat is the name of the boat.
Looks very very stable. Kinda like 2 giant surf boards with seats & outboard.
Runs great from a 5 to a 30 hp.
They have dealers in various countries including one in Canada.
They would be good on larger lakes & low wind high tide days on the salt.
Hate to be on the water with huge breaking waves ( white caps ) as this boat just may flip :o ??? :o
Looks like fun though ...check out their elite model. Lots of thought & quality proven design.
Boat has been around for 20 yrs.

Geez - is that video from the 70's? :D
-
troutbreath that is "one interesting boat " .
That keel will give the boat stability in rougher water.
Best pedal boat design that I've ever seen.
But would not want to be in it on a lake with too many speed boats .
Ya just know some smart -my friend will create some big wake on purpose. ;D
Sure is a very cheap boat to maintain & run.
No outboard to maintain & no fuel costs etc.

Didn't want to start a new thread.
A lot of fishing kayaks have rod holders in the back, how do you know when you got a fish on
-
Have your drag set tight enough to set the hook, but loose enough to zing a bit?
Also, some have side holders as well, so the rear holders are there to store rods, more so than troll with them.
Or so I gather.
