hey, i want to find a new fishery close to my house, and i really really want to catch a carp...i want to try some of the sloughs in Ladner...what are the most productive spots? what are the best baits for Ladner carp? and what i want to know most of all is..what is the best rig to use for ladner sloughs? thanks a lot, Aaron.

That pond in the bird sanctuary can be pretty productive, you can legit chum there too and pretend you are feeding the birds lol.

are you aloud to fish there!!?? I would love to, chuck out some bread than cast out a Tom thumb on the 6wt!!!!!!!!!!! There are tons there!

Check the regs?Iif you wanted to be legit you could wait for someone else to feed the ducks and then chuck a couple of casts in commando style.

i know carp fisherman that use a 5wt, they need too cause you cast anything higher than a 5 and when the line hits the water its spook's them and they run off.

Stealth and suitability for the size of the fish are not the same thing.

Landing carp on a 7wt is tough as it is, wouldnt try it on a 5wt.

okay i dont want to get off topic!!!!!! but..i know a couple guys who use 4wts for big carp and just play them for a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time

Ive seen a few tail the surface, but not fished them. Now that I have practice in Richmond I will probably give it a shot in the near future
