Title: Newbie Question - River or stream to cast & retrieve lures
Post by: Jewelz on October 19, 2011, 11:40:37 AM
I've been to two of the popular rivers here in the lower mainland; non-tidal fraser & vedder/chilliwack. Most people i've seen either float, bottom bounce or fly fish but I don't see too many people casting lures. I have learned to do all but fly fish, but I must say I do like casting lures the most. So my question is this, what is a good place to cast & retrieve lures that doesn't impede on those that are doing other methods? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

on the chilliwack river go to the canal becuse its slower and is good casting spoons, just try and avoid the crowds. and the fraser there are many popular bars which are great for fishing lures off. and just for motivation for spoons n spinners my local stream i have been hammering lots of hoes on them.

anywhere is good to cast lures on the vedder/chilliwack. the question is what are you targetting, thats the point of finding that spot to get that certain type of fish.
