Title: crack on the bottom of my waders
Post by: fishyfish on October 12, 2011, 11:43:59 PM
Hello,

I have a crack on the bottom of my waders. The bottom rubber. Bottom of the  sole.  Any ideas what will stop the leak? Aquaseal? Thank you.

You may have to rough up the surface of the rubber if it is smooth to get a good bond, but Aquaseal should work well.

And don't forget that Aquaseal is slippery, so if it is on the bottom of your boot spread the Aquaseal on and then sprinkle some sand or something similar to add a little grip.

I like the UV aquaseal from loon it works good and sets up quick. I have made repairs to wading boots with shoe goo also

Thank you guys. Great suggestion with the sand. Sorry, is Loon the manufacture of a specific aquaseal or is Loon a store? Either way where do I get it?

Loon is a product.  You can get it at any local fishing store (Riverside, Sea Run, Berrys Bait, etc).
