"My biggest worry is that my wife (when I'm dead) will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it."

I can not understand why you guys have a problem with your gear and wifes? My wife doesn't even knows or cares about my fishing equipment. You guys must be miserable sneaking and hiding your equipment.  :D ;D. Do you have to ask your wife for permission when you want to hit the river? 8)

Tadpole...I thought you were a llama?

Weekends are not so much an issue but weekdays I'd need to take vacation days which my wife has an issue with...although I take a few every fall.

Of course, somebody has to watch the kid when I'm on the river. I used to get lots of flack for leaving once a week to go fishing, but now that she started going to yoga a couple of times a week and understands the need to be away and do something enjoyable, it's not as bad as before.
