hit vancouver island, lots of people feel the shake in lower mainland
I was fishing at Fraser in Richmond area....didn't feel a thing..
but also couldn't get the fish.... probably got to do with the shake in riverbed or something else anyway....
I was getting 4 pinks around the same time 2 days ago in the same spot
earthquake! >:(

no no it must be the full moon tonight!! :-[ :-[

Nothing to do with the earthquake, more to do with the purse seiners at the mouth.

Yeah, the river was totally dead because there was a gill netter parked right in front of us. When the gill netter left the river had fish jumping everywhere; however, they were all out of casting range.

were you in No 3 rd at Dyke rd today?
-
no, i was there yesterday evening.
-
are you saying that the reason we peopple fishing on the shore couldn't get a fish mostly coz the commercial fishing dudes are using nets all along in the river?
-
That's exactly what he's saying, crazy!

Take a few thousand fish out of the river and you will have a harder time catching fish. However, in a run of this size, there are plenty to go around and commercial guys have bills to pay. There are more to come.
