Title: Deboville Slough in Port Coquitlam
Post by: Sam6140 on August 28, 2011, 01:06:21 AM
Hey guys,

I've read that there are bass and carp in the Deboville Slough.  Is this true?   I want to fish for bass there, as it would be the closest bass-hole to my place.  I've been to the slough, but never fished it.  Had no idea it might be holding bass.

Anybody caught any bass there?  Any other fish?   The slough meets the Pitt River, and the mouth might be a good place to fish for something at least!

go check it out - its the best way to find them "holes"
as for caught fish in there, i've caught a few small 10'' trout before.
not sure if u are allowed to fish for salmon in the slough, once the chum and cohos start running

You will likely have better success with bass in the ponds of Minnekhada Park.

I read somewhere about those ponds.  I haven't been there in over 16 years.   Is the road, and parking lot gravel?    Has anyone fished those ponds, and what do I expect?  Sorry, I usually do just go and check places out, but my free time is rather limited recently.

Online, there is a PDF map of the park, including the marsh.   Very handy.
