Not many pinks in the Fraser River in July.
-
ya weird, never seen a pink in fraser in july ???
-
It only mentions non tidal Fraser... Does that mean that in the tidal section they are unable to be targeted?
Any word on whether we will be getting the same opening date for Chinook?

Tidal Fraser is also open to pinks (4 per day).

It's pretty standard for DFO to have the pink salmon opening in the Fraser from the beginning of summer actually.
The earliest I've seen pink salmon caught in the Tidal Fraser is late July, but the bulk of the run always starts in the last week of August.

any pink opening for Squamish

You tell very quickly if they are going after pinks by looking at the color of wool that they are using... If they are using pink wool, it's definitely pinks they are after. However if they are using red, green or a combo of the 2, you'll know they are targeting the chinook.... ;)

Going to Parksville Aug. 21-Aug.26. Any good areas to fish over there for pinks, or even if coho are running over there at that time.
