Has anybody heard any reports? It should be picking up, thinking of making a trip over for the long weekend...

It just recently heated up and is great right now. Limits for almost all boats. Long weekend should be prime.

I've been looking into planning a trip over there on a weekend as well. I've just never trolled for salmon in the ocean before. Would there be a good lodge you could recomend on where to stay and the closes to the fishing? I'm sure once I'm at the resort/lodge i could get some pointers. Just Don't know where would be the best to stay as i will be towing my boat over there as well.
Thanks in advance.

China Creek Campground and Marina perhaps.

I'm fishing this weekend with Nick from West Coast River Charters. I've heard that he tidal portion of the Somass River has been very productive over the last week with lots of guys limiting out really quickly. I guess that's not hard to do since the daily limit has been lowered to 2 from 4 Sockeye at the request of the Sports Fishing Advisory Council and not by DFO this time. Oh well, 2 Sockeye is still nice this time of year!
